Lessons Learned in 2016

Well… its seems everyone can't wait for this year to be over. Everyone is looking to have a new clean slate. Problem is that those slates get super dirty super quickly. I think I know why, we are trying to forget all the bad or unpleasant things that happened in the past and ignoring them, and in turn we are making the same mistakes. So I challenge you to look at this last year and see what was unpleasant and not forget it, but instead look at what its taught you. In the spirit of this I am going to share all the lessons I learned in 2016.

1. Be more positive, cliché I know. But I think that we need to all start looking at whats good instead of what going bad. There is a silver lining to everything so just look at that and your life may stay the same but it will be much better. Attitude and outlook really is the only thing you can control.

2. Start making day by day plans for goals. During 2016, I did not achieve as many goals as I hoped I would. Because I kept procrastinating and putting things off. Goals that are worth it are going to take time and effort, so every day do a little so that you can cross of more goals than usual this year.

3. Put your priorities straight. Look at problems in context, don’t let small issues cause you major grief. Look at how a setback will look in the grand scheme of things ten years from now. And if it really will affect your life make sure to figure out a way to overcome this setback. Make a plan.

So Happy New Year!!
